This course aims to make attendants aware of the current legislation, present the steps needed to comply with it, along with key dates and the necessary actions to be taken at every stage of the implementation.

Who Should Attend this workshop: Personnel who is involved with the implementation and compliance with the Hong Kong Convention and EU SRR Regulation, such as operations, technical, HSQE of shipping companies

Instructor’s CV

Eleni Mpraki is an Environmental Consultant with more than 17 years of
experience. During her career, she was responsible for the elaboration of
Environmental Impact Assessments, provision of Contract Advisory services &
Environmental Legislative Support on large construction works (Rion –
Antirion Bridge, Athletic Facilities of the Olympic Games Athens 2004 –
MEPPP) and has conducted Climate Vulnerability Report Assessments
(CCVRA) for infrastructure projects. She has a strong academic background in
Environment and is a certified Auditor in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
She holds an LL.M in Environmental Law, an MSc in Environmental Management and BSc
(Hons) in Environmental Science from Lancaster University. She is currently working on the
elaboration of IHM with Blue Trident Solutions.

Myrto K. Galoni is a Metallurgical Engineer holding a BSc from the National
Technical University of Athens and an MSc from the School of Naval
Architecture & Marine Engineering from the same university. She has worked
as a marine surveyor at RINA for her internship, and at Blue Trident Solutions
for the last year. Her main areas of interest are Failure Analysis, for which she
has published scientific papers, as well as condition survey on operating vessels
