Energy Efficiency On Board Ships

To increase trainee awareness of the methods, systems and available technologies that will allow them to implement energy-efficiency techniques in their companies and facilitate the decision-making process in energy-related issues. Energy Losses On Board

To make attendants aware of the diagnostic methods, monitoring systems and available measurement techniques that will allow them to calculate the energy losses of every energy consumer onboard a ship. A great spectrum of monitoring & targeting techniques are presented (SCADA – baseline & EnPIs with examples). Case studies of energy measuring technologies, and diagnostic methods are discussed for various ship types. The participants will have hands-on experience by using portable measuring instruments during the seminar.

Marine Meteo Tropical Weather/Cyclones

This course offers a modern approach to the most dangerous weather phenomena while travelling on board. The participants have the chance to learn valuable and useful information relative to the tropical cyclones such as the structure, the onomatology, the birth, the dangers and the navigable hemisphere of the tropical cyclones. Moreover, they learn how to read weather maps that are provided on board, focusing on the way that tropical cyclones are depicted on the official radiofaxes by NOAA and JMA.
