SHIP TO SHIP (STS) TRANSFER OPS SEMINAR W/ EXERCISES

This course provides training to deck officers on the ship to ship (STS) transfer operation and MARPOL Chapter 8 by providing the basic principles and practical exercises with Bridge and Cargo Handling Simulators. The course is intended to familiarize the participants with all the necessary actions they have to take during this operation. The objectives cover also the cargo transfer operations on a cargo simulator

Duration: 2 Days

BERM /With Simulator

To provide the understading on the development of human resources and managerial skills of the participants. The course is designed on the lines of “Crew Resource Management” Course. It is highly interactive, involving a number of group discussions, case-studies, and role-play exercises. Many scenariosare affecting the engine team reactions and many bridge scenarios are affecting the engine team actions. All the exercises and scenarios are practicing the safe Navigation procedures for both teams. The course requires two instructors , one for each team, (bridge and engine).

Antiparicy Course/With Simulator

To provide adequate knowledge, guidance and skills on Best Management Practices Version 5 (BMP5), in avoiding piracy attacks. To familiarize the participants with the measures that should be taken by the masters of the ship and the ship’s operators for the ship security. Techniques how to survive piracy, self protection measures, actions to be taken to prevent acts of Piracy and Armed Robbery. Demonstration of all anti Piracy equipment . All known cases are been demonstrated. The course takes advantage of the new capability module of the ARI Integrated bridge Simulator.

Search and Rescue/With Simulator

to provide the necessary knowledge to deck officers of the Search and Resque procedures and technics. The capabilities of the new bridge simulator gives to the trainees the whole S&R picture.

Seminar Polar Course/With Simulator

This course provides training to all deck and engine officers to operate ships in polar waters and to address those additional provisions deemed necessary for consideration beyond existing requirements of the SOLAS and MARPOL Conventions, in order to take into account the climatic conditions of polar waters and to meet appropriate standards of maritime safety and pollution prevention. It is based on the IMO model courses 7.11 and 7.12 , (basic).

Duration: 2 Days

Berthing/With Simulator

To train personnel in safe working practices during mooring operations, particularly during berthing and un-berthing, single point mooring and anchoring of ships. The course is adapted totally on OCIMF/VIQ-7 chapters 5 and 9. The new capability module of new ARI Bridge Simulator make the Mooring Operations very realistic and educational. Mooring Stations and all kind of Ropes are explained, (procedures)

Safe Mooring Operations/with Simulator

To train personnel in safe working practices during mooring operations, particularly during berthing and un-berthing, single point mooring and anchoring of ships. BRM/ERM Simulator Extreme Conditions

To train participants with the aim to enchance their skills during extreme conditions such as: heavy traffic, low visibility, heavy weather, equipment failure, crew injury, narrow channels, SAR situation, risk of collision etc. At the end of this course, an individualize practical BRM Skills Assessment Report is provided

SPM/SBM Mooring /With Simulator

The course is intended for Masters & Deck Officers engaged in Single Point Mooring (SPM) operation. It provides theoretical and practical training on the operation and safe approach of Single Point Mooring buoys. The focus of lessons & instruction covers review of ship handling principles and SPM operational procedures as recommended by the OCIMF; while the practical training consists of simulation exercises with extensive use of the full mission bridge simulator
